COBDEN BEACH - MATS RENEWED, BUOYS ADDED
The team at Muskrat Watershed Council have been busy again making improvements at Cobden Beach!
First, the beach mats were replaced with brand new ones. These mats help to inhibit weed growth by creating a barrier for plants to root, but need to be maintained and replaced regularly. The intention of these mats is to improve the swimming area.
We also realized that swimming would be much safer at Cobden Beach if there were buoys and a barrier to mark the area and let everyone know that the area is off limits for all motor boats and fishing.
We hope everyone will come to Cobden, grab a coffee, a bakery treat, or an ice cream and head down to Cobden Beach to take in the beautiful view and all the improvements that we have been working hard to do.
